How we handle what you give us — and your trust.
What we collect when you sign
Your email address, the date, the page you signed from — and, if you choose to give it on the join page, the name your signature should read as. Nothing more is required to be an Impactist.
What we collect when you nominate someone for The Uncounted
Your name and email, the name of the person you're nominating, the story you write about them, and — if you offer it — a way to reach another witness. Because a nomination describes other people, we treat it with extra care: it is read by an editor, never published in any form without the honoree's consent, and deleted on request from anyone named in it.
How we use it
To record signatures, to consider nominations, and to send occasional letters about the movement and the Impact Standard. We do not sell, rent, or trade any of it.
No central score
We do not compute, store, or assign any score of your impact or worth. There is no profile being ranked behind the scenes.
Your choices
You can step away at any time, and ask us to delete your record — signature, nomination, or both. Membership is a commitment you keep, not a contract that holds you.
